I saw a this hair stylist’s window when I was wandering around Edinburgh and thought it would make a good photograph by editing the photo as I have done. I would like to return at a different time of day to try and get rid of the reflection of the building in the background. I like the way this hair stylists is still so old fashioned.

Fashion savvy consumers who want the best of both worlds – retail therapy and the chance to give back to the community, can take pride in attending Beauty Meets Philanthropy- a celebration of culture and beauty where fashion meets philanthropy. Attendees will experience beauty and cultural nirvana at this jewelry showcase and mini-makeover event that brings together the stylists from Hairy Situations with world-renowned jewelry designer Joleen Franklin to collect food and raise money to fight hunger in Austin this holiday season. Guests will be pampered with manicures and hair and makeup mini-makeovers from the stylists at Hairy Situations Salon, facials from Kelly Shaw, feather extensions by Laura Ranson, and even a fire dancing performance! A silent auction will take place with products from local boutiques and exclusive specialty retailers in clothing, accessories, beauty products, bath & body care, and wellness all under one roof- on Thursday, December 16th from 5pm – 8pm at 1708 S. Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.
Taking place in the heart of Austin’s SoCo District at trendy Hairy Situations Salon, Beauty Meets Philanthropy’s theme of giving back is not only being acknowledged by the Capital Area Food Bank , Hairy Situations, and Exclamations! A Marketing & Event Planning Co., but attendees can also take part in paying it forward by bringing three non-perishable items to the event and bidding in our silent auction. Guests who bring three or more non-perishable items to the event will receive a total of 25% off all salon products. 100% of the proceeds from our silent auction will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank.
